About dwayne

A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dwayne can best be described by those who know him as a loyal friend, consummate professional, and an energy giver, with a deep and passionate love for family, animals and music. He is also known in some circles as a “Super Connector” who thrives on opportunities to leverage his vast and varied network of contacts, relationship building skills, and creative mindset to help bring ideas and concepts to life.  

As a 30 year veteran of Nike Inc., Dwayne has recently embarked on the next phase of his storied career path. Having garnered experiences across Strategic Account Sales, Marketing & Brand, and Supply Chain processes, he possesses the unique capabilities of understanding big picture thinking, and is adapt at aligning appropriate resources and entities to drive and maintain successful business models.  Outside of work Dwayne appreciates nature. An active fitness enthusiast he enjoys hiking, snow skiing, cycling, and an array of water sports amongst other activities. 

His most recent acquired passion is spending time with his two performance Quarter Horses Chance and Jagger, participating in regional Ranch Versatility shows and competitions. As a young boy he was gifted a Shetland pony by his grandfather and that was the extent of his equine engagement until much later in life when he was fortunate enough to purchase horses of his own. Since then he has gained a deeper appreciation for these animals as the athletic intelligent, versatile and intuitive beings that they are. Most importantly Dwayne has found his horses to be a source of inner strength healing and personal growth.  

“Through my engagement with horses I now view life through a much different lens. The people I’ve met, the relationships I’ve developed, and the experiences I’ve had over the past few years has really helped me to grow personally and emotionally. I have a burning desire to give back by sharing my experiences through my relationships with horses and animals in general and I really want to help others to find their passion.”  

Dwayne is also a musician who enjoys writing, and arranging as well as occasionally performing live with fellow musicians. He has been blessed with the art of storytelling, and finds great solace and personal satisfaction in engaging others with common goals and objectives to help create and inspire.
